Who do Muslims worship?
………………………………….
Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid saied:
the answer is to be found in the Holy Qur’aan, which is the Scripture of Islam, and in the words of the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) who received Revelation from his Lord.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“In the name of Allaah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. All praises and thanks be to Allaah, the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists), the Most Beneficient, the Most Merciful, the Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e., the Day of Resurrection). You (Alone) we worship, and You (alone) we ask for help (for each and every thing).”
[al-Faatihah 1:1-5]
…………………………………………
“O mankind! Worship your Lord (Allaah), Who has created you and those before you so that you may become al-muttaqoon (the pious).”
[al-Baqarah 2:21]
…………………………………………
“Such is Allaah, your Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but He, the Creator of all things. So worship Him (Alone), and He is the Wakeel (Trustee, Disposer of affairs, Guardian) over all things.”
[al-An’aam 6:102]
…………………………………………
“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour.”
[al-Isra’ 17:23]
…………………………………………
Muslim worship Allaah [the One True God] whom all the Prophets worshipped. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Or were you witnesses when death approached Ya’qoob [Jacob]? When he said unto his sons, ‘What will you worship after me?’ They said, ‘We shall worship your God, the God of your fathers, Ibraaheem [Abraham], Ismaa’eel [Ishmael] and Is-haaq [Isaac], One God, and to Him we submit (in Islam).”
[al-Baqarah 2:133]
…………………………………………
The Muslims worship Allaah and call others who follow different religions to worship Allaah Alone, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Say [O Muhammad]: ‘O People of the Scripture [Jews and Christians]: come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allaah, and we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allaah.’ Then, if they turn away, say, ‘Bear witness that we are Muslims.’”
[Aal ‘Imraan 3:64]
…………………………………………
It is Allaah Alone Whom Nooh [Noah] (peace be upon him) called his people to worship, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Indeed, We sent Nooh [Noah] to his people and he said: ‘O my people! Worship Allaah! You have no other god but Him. Certainly, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day!.’”
[al-A’raaf 7:59]
…………………………………………
It is Allaah Alone whom the Messiah [Jesus] (peace be upon him) called people to worship, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Surely they have disbelieved who say: ‘Allaah is the Messiah [Jesus] son of Maryam [Mary].’ But the Messiah said: ‘O Children of Israel! Worship Allaah, my Lord and your Lord.’ Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allaah, then Allaah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the zaalimoon (polytheists and wrong-doers) there are no helpers.”
[al-Maa’idah 5:73]
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And (remember) when Allaah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): ‘O ‘Eesa [Jesus], son of Maryam [Mary]! Did you say unto men: ‘Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allaah?’ He will say: ‘Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner-self though I do not know what is in Yours. You, only You, are the All-Knower of all that is hidden and unseen.
Never did I say to them aught except what You (Allaah) did command me to say: “Worship Allaah, my Lord and your Lord.” And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness to all things.’”
[al-Maa’idah 5:116-117]
…………………………………………
When Allaah spoke to His Prophet Moosa [Moses] (peace be upon him), He said (interpretation of the meaning):
“Verily, I am Allaah! None has the right to be worshipped but I, so worship Me, and perform al-Salaah [prayer] for My Remembrance.”
[Ta-Ha 20:14]
…………………………………………
Allaah commanded His Prophet Muhammad(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) as follows (interpretation of the meaning):
“Say [O Muhammad]: ‘O mankind! If you are in doubt as to my religion (Islam), then (know that) I will never worship those whom you worship, besides Allaah. But I worship Allaah Who causes you to die, I am commanded to be one of the believers.”
[Yoonus 10:104]
…………………………………………
It is Him Alone, with no partner or associate, Whom the angels worship and do not worship anyone or anything besides Him, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):
“To Him belongs whosoever is in the heavens and on earth. And those who are near Him (i.e., the angels) are not too proud to worship Him, nor are they weary (of His worship).”
[al-Anbiya’ 21:19]
…………………………………………
Everything that is worshipped instead of Allaah can neither bring benefit nor cause harm, it can neither create nor provide. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Say (O Muhammad, to mankind); ‘How do you worship besides Allaah something which has no power either to harm or to benefit you? But it is Allaah Who is the All-Hearer, All-Knower.’”
[al-Maa’idah 5:76]
“You worship besides Allaah only idols, and you only invent falsehood. Verily, those whom you worship besides Allaah have no power to give you provision, so seek your provision from Allaah (Alone), and worship Him (Alone), and be grateful to Him. To Him (Alone) you will be brought back.”
[al-‘Ankaboot 29:17]
…………………………………………
Having explained this, we must complete the topic by asking: why should we worship Allaah Alone with no partner or associate? The answer is as follows:
Firstly: because there is nothing and nobody else in the universe that deserves to be worshipped, for Allaah is the Creator and Sustainer, Who has created the universe out of nothing and has bestowed so many blessings upon us.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“So glorify Allaah, when you come up to the evening [i.e., offer the Maghrib (sunset) and ‘Isha’ (night) prayers], and when you enter the morning [I.e., offer the Fajr (morning) prayers].
And His is all the praise and thanks in the heavens and the earth, and (glorify Him) in the afternoon [i.e., offer ‘Asr (mid-afternoon) prayer] and when you come up to the time when the day begins to decline [i.e., offer the Zuhr (mid-day) prayer].
He brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living. And He revives the earth after its death, and thus shall you be brought out (resurrected).
And among His Signs is this, that He created you (Adam) from dust, and then [Hawwa (Eve) from Adam’s rib, then his offspring from the semen, and], - behold you are human beings scattered!
And among His Signs is this, that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who reflect.
And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Verily in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge.
And among His Signs is the sleep that you take by night and by day, and your seeking of His Bounty. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who listen.
And among His Signs is that He shows you the lightning, by way of fear and hope, and He sends down water (rain) from the sky, and therewith revives the earth after its death. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who understand.
And among His Signs is that the heaven and the earth stand by His Command, then afterwards when He will call you by single call, behold, you will come out from the earth (ie.e, from your graves, for reckoning and recompense).
To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. All are obedient to Him.
And He it is Who originates the creation, then will repeat it (after it has perished), and this is easier for Him. His is the highest description (i.e., none has the right to be worshipped but He, and there is nothing comparable unto Him) in the heavens and in the earth. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.”
[al-Room 30: 17-27]
…………………………………………
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Is not He (better than your gods) Who created the heavens and the earth, and sends down for you water (rain) from the sky, whereby We cause to grow wonderful gardens full of beauty and delight? It is not in your ability to cause the growth of their trees. Is there any god with Allaah? Nay, but they are a people who ascribe equals (to Him)!
Is not he (better than you gods) Who has made the earth as a fixed abode, and has placed rivers in its midst, and has placed firm mountains therein, and has set a barrier between the two seas (of salt and sweet water). Is there any god with Allaah? Nay, but most of them know not.
Is not He (better than your gods) Who responds to the distressed one, when He calls Him, and Who removes the evil, generations after generations. Is there any god with Allaah? Little is it that you remember!
Is not He (better than your gods) Who guides you in the darkness of the land and the sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy (rain)? Is there any god with Allaah? High Exalted be Allaah above all that they associate as partners (to Him)!
Is not He (better than your so-called gods) Who originates creation, and shall thereafter repeat it, and Who provides for you from heaven and earth? Is there any god with Allaah? Say: ‘bring forth your proofs, if you are truthful’
Say: ‘None on the heavens and the earth knows the unseen except Allaah, nor can they perceive when they shall be resurrected.’”
[al-Naml 27:60-65]
So is there anyone or anything besides Allaah that deserves to be worshipped?
…………………………………………
Secondly: Allaah did not create us except to worship Him, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And I (Allaah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone).”
[al-Dhaariyaat 51:56]
…………………………………………
Thirdly: No one will be saved on the Day of Resurrection except those who used to worship Allaah truly and sincerely. After death Allaah will resurrect His slaves and call them to account, rewarding or punishing them according to their deeds. No one will be saved on that day except for those who used to worship Allaah Alone. The rest will be gathered into a Hell, a terrible fate! The Prophet of Islam, Muhammad(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), was asked by his Companions: “Will we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?” He told them:
“Do you doubt that you can see the sun and the moon when the sky is clear?” We [his Companions] said, “No.” He said, “Then you should not doubt that you will see your Lord on that Day, you will see Him as you see them (the sun and moon).” Then he said, “A caller will call out, ‘Let every people go to that which they used to worship.’ So the worshippers of the cross will go with their cross, the worshippers of idols will go with their idols and the worshippers of every god will go with their gods, until there will be left those who used to worship Allaah, whether they were righteous or otherwise, and a few of the People of the Book [Jews and Christians]. Then Hell will be brought and shown to them as if it is a mirage. It will be said to the Jews, ‘What did you used to worship?’ They will say, ‘We used to worship ‘Uzayr, the son of God.’ It will be said, ‘You have lied. Allaah does not have a wife or son. What do you want?’ They will say, ‘We want something to drink.’ It will be said to them, ‘Drink!’ and they will fall into Hell. Then it will be said to the Christians, ‘What did you used to worship?’ They will say, ‘We used to worship the Messiah, the son of God.’ It will be said, ‘You have lied. Allaah does not have a wife or son. What do you want?’ They will say, ‘We want something to drink.’ It will be said to them, ‘Drink!’ and they will fall into Hell. Then there will be left those who used to worship Allaah, whether they were righteous or otherwise. It will be said to them, ‘What are you waiting for? All the people have gone.’ They will say, ‘We have separated from them and we need Him more today. We heard a caller saying that every people should follow that which they used to worship, so we are waiting for our Lord.’ He will say, ‘Al-Jabbaar [the Compeller, i.e., Allaah] will come…’ And He will say, ‘I am your Lord.’ They will say, ‘You are our Lord,’ but none will speak to Him except the Prophets… then every believer will prostrate to Him.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, no. 6886).
These believers are the people of Paradise on whom shall be no fear neither shall they grieve, and they will dwell therein for ever.
We hope that this matter has now become clear. In conclusion we can say nothing except that which Allaah has said (interpretation of the meaning):
“Whoever goes right, then he goes right only for the benefit of his ownself. And whoever goes stray, then he goes astray to his own loss…”
[al-Isra’ 17:15]
Learning quran and understand the teaching of quran
Learn Quran it brings happiness in this world and the Here after. Reading quran online inspires a man to explore the Arabic quran teachings in a new manner and see the world in a different way the way of truth and guidance. Learn holy Quran it brings happiness in this world and the world after death. The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: If you desire the life of the fortunate, the death of a martyr, the salvation on the Day of Regret and the shade on the Day of Extreme Heat, then you should study the Quranic education because it is the word of the Merciful, a sanctuary from Shaytaan and a causes the tilting of the Balance. It is the deputy of every Muslim to spread the word of justice let teach kids quran from the beginning the quran quida and ask then for listening to quran online from different reciter’s and learn quran tafsir and the quranic tafseer with translation and let the do quran memorization and learn tajweed quran rules from quran tutor and guide them to spread the word of peace
…… the gentile prophet (Muhammad), whom they find written in their Torah and Gospel. He
exhorts them to be righteous, enjoins them from evil, allows for them all good food, and
prohibits that which is bad, and unloads the burdens and the shackles imposed upon them.”
7:157
The traditional Muslims claim that Prophet had the power to authorize the good things and prohibit the bad things. They cite the above verse in support of their claim.
But as will be shown here, they are in fact manipulating 7:157 in order to elevate the prophet to the status of being a Law Maker besides God.
It must be said that if we study one ayat in isolation, such as 7:157, it may well seem that the prophet is spoken of as a Law maker in the Quran, however, if we study all the related verses together the picture becomes totally different.
To study 7:157 we must also study 66:1 and also 6:114.
Immediately, the message in 6:114 stands out clear; God is the ONLY source of law. In addition, in 66:1 we read how God reprimands the prophet for once prohibiting an item that was NOT prohibited by God. This makes the issue beyond dispute: the prophet does not have the authority to prohibit except what is prohibited by God.
As a result, the meaning of 7:157 now becomes very clear, the prophet will invite his people to do righteous acts, enjoins them from evil and prohibits them from bad things, all in accordance to what is given to him in the Quran by God, and nothing else.
We must always remember that any messenger from God is a medium through which God’s commands are transmitted to the people. God does not come down to communicate with the people in person. God gave the Quran to Muhammad, and the Quran came out of Muhammad’s mouth, so Muhammad is commanded by God to do the above in accordance to the law given in the Quran and not in accordance to Muhammad’s own desires.
The Quran is the word of God.The Quran includes a physical proof which confirms beyond any doubt that the book is God given, and not the work of any human being:.“This (Quran) too is a blessed scripture that we have revealed; you shall follow it and lead a righteous life, that you may attain mercy. Now you can no longer say, “The scripture was sent down to two groups before us (Jews and Christians), and we were unaware of their teachings”Nor can you say, “If only a scripture could come down to us, we would be better guided than they. “Now there has come to you a ‘Bayyinah’ (clear proof) from your Lord and a beacon, and a mercy. Now, who is more evil than one who rejects these proofs from God, and disregards them? We will commit those who disregard our proofs to the worst retribution for their heedlessness” 6:155-157.The proof spoken of in 6:157 is in the mathematical structure of the Quran and the miracle found therein. For full details of the miracle please go to: Miracle of the QuranRead quran and it will guided us to the true teaching of The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) he summarized the religion of Islam with this statement: “The Religion is naseehah (sincerity)!” So then Tameem ibn Aws, may Allah be pleased with him, then said, “We asked, ‘To whom?’” He said: “To Allah, HIS BOOK holy quran, His Messenger, the leaders of the people, and their common folk.” [Muslim] so to study the religion people should go to the source of and source of Islam is the quran so learning quran and reading quran with the meaning the quran tafsir and then explore the words of wisdom. And for the Muslims the sincerity that is due to the Book of Allah includes doing the quran recitation, listening to quran along with learning the tajweed rules and reciting it beautifully, letting our kids learn quran learning holy quran tafseer and the reasons for its revelation, affirming that it is the Truth, the perfect Speech of Allah and not part of the creation, honoring it and defending it, abiding by the orders and prohibitions found in it and teaching quran to spread the word or truth and calling to it. So by learning quran education online and reflecting over the Quran online, one fulfills an obligation and is rewarded for that. Upon fulfilling this obligation, the Quran then becomes a proof for him on the Day of Judgment! And that is our second benefit we will take by embracing this Noble Book…
..
No doubt, every society knows all of the traditional arguments
about women’s ideal role and place. Their social status and importance
in the family, whether or not they should work, and other social
issues have been discussed seemingly forever. For Muslims, these
issues were settled by the Qur’an: Men and women are equal. The
facts that men and women have different physical builds and that
women are generally weaker than men are irrelevant and cannot be
used to reduce women’s value.
What truly matters in Islamic morality is not whether someone is
male or female, but whether or not he or she is a believer who fears
and respects Allah. Each believer is expected to strive to live
by the Qur’an’s morality, for the results of this struggle are what
Allah values and will measure in the Hereafter. Allah reveals the
qualities that all Muslims, male or female, should have:The men and women of the believers are friends
of one another. They command what is right and forbid what is
wrong, keep up prayer and give the alms [zakat], and obey Allah
and His Messenger. They are the people on whom Allah will have
mercy. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise. (Surat at-Tawba: 71)
As Allah reveals, all Muslims, regardless of their gender, have
the same responsibilities: to worship Allah, live according to the
Qur’an’s morality, command good and prevent evil, and abide by the
Qur’an’s rules and advice. Allah promises everyone who fears and
respects the limits that He has established for humanity that He
will give them the ability to distinguish right from wrong:O you who believe! If you have fear of [and respect]
Allah, He will give you discrimination, erase your bad actions,
and forgive you. Allah’s favor is indeed immense. (Surat al-Anfal:
29)One’s gender has no bearing on this, for Allah has given everyone
an intellect capable of leading him or her to the right path, reaching
the right decisions, and giving the right responses in return for
belief and devotion. Therefore, intellect has nothing to do with
gender; rather, it has everything to do with one’s devotion, fear,
and respect of Allah.Any man or woman who acts on the impulses of the intellect derived
from belief can achieve success in many areas. This depends on their
will, motivation, and persistence. Believers never rest on their
laurels, for it is part of Islamic morality to always strive to
be more intelligent, talented, responsible, and virtuous, as well
as to seek to always improve upon their character. Allah reveals
that believers pray to Him for a character that will make them role
models for those around them:Those who say: “Our Lord, give us joy in our
wives and children, and make us a good example for those who guard
against evil.” (Surat al-Furqan: 74)
A Muslim woman who does her best in everything she undertakes and
who works to develop an exemplary character and morality, will excel
in her society. She will carry out her responsibilities competently,
reach the right decisions, find the best solutions, and take the
most appropriate actions. As explained earlier, Islam states that men and women are totally
equal. For both of them, it all depends on their ability to exceed
what is expected of them by realizing the full potential of their
character and personality, and by fulfilling their responsibilities.
For this reason, believing women do not struggle for equality with
men, but exert themselves in the race to do good, defined in the
Qur’an as the effort to win Allah’s good pleasure. For this end,
they race to become the person most loved by Allah so that they
may win His good pleasure and be the nearest to Him. Allah reveals
that these efforts determine the Muslim’s superiority over others
in this life as well as in the Hereafter:From learning Quran online Blog

Prophecies, Predictions and Past Events
I myself was influenced by my knowledge of the Bible to accept the Prophethood
of Muhammad, and have had two Jewish rabbis admitting to me in Speaker’s Corner
that Muhammad was the Prophet spoken of in their books. It has long been recognized
that a sure sign of the truth of a claim to Prophethood is the ability of
that individual to accurately and consistently predict future events. This
is especially true of Christians who often demand “what did Muhammad prophecy?”.
This is because the Bible lays down this as a means to distinguish a true
Prophet from a false. Everybody is able to predict the future sometimes,
some are able to get it right a lot of the time, but only someone who is receiving
information from the One who has complete knowledge of the future can get
it right every time. There are many predictions both in the Quran and the
authenticated sayings of the Prophet Muhammed that have been fulfilled.
The Quran says:“Ye shall enter the Sacred Mosque, if Allah wills, secure, heads shaved,
hair curt short, and without fear”[Noble Quran 48:27]
This passage was revealed after the Prophet had been stopped by the Quraish
from making ‘Umrah (the Minor Pilgrimage) and a treaty was made between the
Muslims and pagans at Hudaybia, six years after the Prophet’s emigration from
Mecca. From this position of weakness, in merely two years the verse was fulfilled,
Mecca was captured, and the Muslims performed the pilgrimage, shaving their
heads, and some cutting their hair.
The Quran says:“Allah has promised to those of you who believe, and do good deeds, that
He will surely grant them in the land inheritance of power as He granted
it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion
which He has chosen for them. And that He will change their state after
fear to one of security and peace. They will worship Me alone and not associate
aught with Me.”[Noble Quran 24:55]
And also:“Say to those who deny faith, soon you will be vanquished.”
[Noble Quran 3:12]
and“When comes the help of Allah and Victory, and you see the people enter
Allah’s religion in multitudes…”[Noble Quran 110:1-2]
The first verse was revealed at a time of the Muslim’s weakness, promising
the righteous victory, and the second predicting the peoples entering into
Islam in crowds, and so it came to pass, after the capture of Mecca, and in
the time of the Caliphs Abu Bakr, ‘Umar, ‘Uthman and ‘Ali, who were from the
most pious companions of the Prophet, were established by Allah in the land,
defeating the Persian and Roman empires, so that Islam was established from
Spain to parts of China in a mere twenty years. This, in part, fulfills another
prophecy of the Quran:“It is He who has sent the Messenger with guidance, and the religion
of truth, to make it triumphant over all religions.”[Noble Quran 9:33]
Christianity, Judaism, paganism have never regained any lasting dominance,
physically and intellectually since the coming of Islam. The secular philosophies
of communism and capitalism are in the process of being dealt death blows.
At the present rate of growth Islam will over take Christianity by 2025 in
terms of numbers. See also Quran 48:18-21 and 1:13, which promise victory
and the taking of booty - which were also fulfilled.
The Quran says:“The Roman Empire has been defeated in a land close by; but they, even
after this defeat, will gain victory in a few years. Allah’s is the command,
in the past and in the future. On that day shall the believers rejoice,
with the help of Allah, He helps whom He wills. And He is the mighty and
the most Merciful. It is the promise of Allah. Allah never departs from
His promise: but most men understand not. They crave for the outer things
of life, but of the hereafter they are heedless.”[Noble Quran 30:2-7]
The Eastern Roman (i.e. Byzantine) Empire suffered a massive defeat at the
hands of the Persians who captured Jerusalem in 614, and after that Egypt
and Syria fell, and Constantinople was laid siege to - (“a land close by”).
The pagan Arabs delighted in this, as it seemed to signal to them the success
of idolatry over the followers of revelation. When this verse was revealed
it seemed impossible that Rome would recover. The word, translated “a few”,
is bid’a, which actually means from three to nine years. Ubayy, a pagan Arab,
wagered Abu Bakr one hundred camels that this would never occur. By the year
623, Heraclius, the Byzantine Roman Emperor, took to the field and vanquished
the Persians in a series of battles, culminating in the battle of Niveveh
in 627. Ubayy had been killed, so his relatives paid the dept. At this same
time the Muslims had been victorious over the pagan Quraish and were rejoicing,
as the Quran foretold.
In part of a long narration found in the two authoritative books of Hadith,
the Prophet was sitting in a garden. ‘Uthman ibn Afan walked in and the Prophet
asked Abu Musa ‘Ashari (the narrator) to inform him of the good news of paradise,
and also that the people would mutiny against him. The Prophecy was fulfilled
in that ‘Uthman became the leader of the Muslims, and secondly some of the
people rose against him and slew him.
‘Ali ibn Abi Talib, the fourth Rightly Guided Caliph, had also been informed
by the Prophet of his assassination in such detail that he knew the man who
was going to kill him, and identified him and pointed him out to the people.
They asked ‘Ali why he did not kill the man and he replied: “Then who will
kill me?” The night preceding his assassination ‘Ali had come out, and gazed
at the sky and said: “By Allah he never told a lie, nor was a lie ever told
to him.” The next day the same man killed ‘Ali, and his blood spilled down
his beard, as the Prophet had described.
Whilst the Muslims were fighting the Jews in Khyber, after some days of attempting
to besiege the fortress, the Prophet said that the next morning he would entrust
the flag to a man to whom Allah would give victory. He gave the flag to ‘Ali,
and the same day the fortress was conquered under Ali’s command.
The Prophet saw ‘Ali and Zubair one day laughing together, and he asked Ali
if he loved Zubair. Ali replied: “How could I not love him since he is my
nephew and co-religionist.” The Prophet asked Zubair the same question, who
gave a similar response. The Prophet then told Zubair that he would fight
‘Ali, and that he would be the oppressor. So in the Battle of Jamal, when
Ali and Zubair, in opposing camps came face to face. ‘Ali reminded Zubair
of the incident, and Zubair recalled, and said that he had forgotten, and
he immediately left the battle field. So the battle took place as the Prophet
had predicted, and Zubair was the oppressor, since Ali was the Rightful Caliph,
and to oppose him with violence was wrong.
The Prophet said: “The Caliphate will last for thirty years, then there will
be a biting kingship.” So it happened. The rule of the Rightly Guided Caliphs
was exactly thirty years: Abu Bakr for two, ‘Umar for ten, ‘Uthman for twelve,
‘Ali for two and a half and Hassan three and a half. After that evil spread
and kingship was established.
The Prophet also predicted the capture of Egypt, and told his companions to
treat the people well, and that they would seize the treasures of the Persian
Choseros (Emperor), who lives in the white palace, all of which they accomplished,
and that Suraqa bin Malik (one of the companions) would have the bracelets
of Caesar put on his hands. So it happened that some such bracelets fell into
the possession of ‘Umar and he called Suraqa, and placed the bracelets on
him, reminding him of the Prophet’s words.
A narration in the most authoritative of the Hadith books, Sahih al-Bukhari,
told Auf bin Malik to look for six incidents before the last day: “The first,
my death; the second the conquest of Jerusalem; third, an epidemic among them;
fourth, the abundance of wealth so that a man would not gladly accept one
hundred dinars even if given it; fifth, a trouble that would involve all Arab
families without exception; sixth, a treaty with the Christians, which the
Christians would violate, etc.. (the hadith describes this last event, not
yet fulfilled). Jerusalem was captured, and after this in 16 A.H. an epidemic
broke out in Umwas and seventy thousand died. Wealth became plentiful, especially
during the Caliphate of ‘Uthman, and after that in the time of ‘Umar ibn AbdulAzziz,
when the collectors of zakat found no one poor enough to receive it. Also
the rebellious war arose in the time of ‘Uthman and became worse after his
murder, so none of the Arabs families were not involved in some respect.
The Prophet mentioned that the Muslims would conquer both Rome and Constantinople.
He was asked which would fall first, and the Prophet said: “The city of Heraclius”,
i.e. Constantinople. Constantinople was taken by the Muslims in the fifteenth
century. Rome still remains to be conquered, as it will be. So the order is
correct, and rest still to be fulfilled. What is noteworthy about these statements
of the Prophet is that they were made at a time when no one could imagine
that a small city state, permanently under siege by the pagan Arabs, would
reach such heights of power and strength, and that these predictions are not
couched in some vague terminology open to various interpretations, like the
Bible’s Book of Revelation’s “Beast of 666”, and monsters with horns and little
horns, or the meanderings of Nostradamus. The language is clear, their assertions
direct, and often with specific names and dates.
The Prophet also predicted the dividing of the Muslims into many sects and
mentioned some of their characteristics. The Prophet mentioned that some people
would do to ‘Ali what the Christians did to Jesus. This clearly refers to
the Shi’a, who exaggerate in love and praise of ‘Ali. One of the Shi’a sects,
the Nusaria, actually worship him as the manifestation of Allah. The Prophet
also mentioned that a group would arise who will deny Allah’s Qadr (Divine
Decree) and he called them the “Magians of the Ummah”, and so it happened,
and they were called the Qadaria. He also mentioned the appearance of those
who would claim the Quran is created, and of those who would tell people to
take only from the Quran and ignore the Sunnah (Prophetic Tradition), and
these things have all come to pass. The Prophet also predicted that from the
tribe of a certain individual a group would arise who would used the verses
of Quran pertaining to unbelievers on the believers, and that they should
be fought and killed. So it happened that the first of the deviant sects to
arise was the Khawarij, who said that ‘Ali and Mu’awia were unbelievers, and
whoever did not believe this, then they also were unbelievers, and they would
slaughter the Muslims, and they arose from the tribe of Tamim, as the Prophet
had said.
The Prophet mentioned that there would be signs forewarning the approach of
the last day. Among those that have clearly come to pass are:
a. The barefooted bedouins competing in building tall buildings. Today we
find in the Arabian Peninsula, the Arabs who used to be impoverished herders
of camels and sheep, are competing in building the tallest tower blocks.
b. The Mosques would be like palaces. This is clearly the case, even though
the Prophet ordered simplicity in the houses of Allah, the mosques have become
more and more fantastic, with golden domes, marbled floors, lavish carpets
and chandeliers.
c. Disappearance of trustworthiness, so much so that one would only be able
to say: “I know a trustworthy person in such-and-such town.”
d. The increase in killing, so that the one who kills does not know why he
killed, and the one killed does not know why he was killed. I was recently
sent an article from the Washington Post about the rise of gang warfare. Part
of the initiation ceremony was for a new gang member (some times as young as
eleven) to shoot someone. The second highest cause of death from fifteen to
thirty five in the US are gun related. The massacre of civilians in the Vietnam
War by American troops who had little idea why they were there, and the increase
of such conflicts, is further illustration of the fulfillment of this prophecy.
As are the rise of insane mass murders, of children killing children, such
as Jamie Bulger.
e. The increase of the use of riba (usury/interest) so that no one will able
to escape being tainted by it. This clearly the state of the world economy
today.
f. The enemies of the Muslims dividing the Muslim’s wealth and lands between
them, the Muslims abandoning jihad, and concerning themselves only with the
worldly matters. We have already mentioned this.
g. The increase of literacy.
h. The decrease of religious knowledge due to the disappearance of scholars.
i. The increase of musical instruments, and the Muslims making it lawful even
though the Prophet has forbidden them.
j. The increase of sexual promiscuity, and new diseases that people had not
heard of before spreading amongst them as a consequence of that. This is clear,
with the arrival of AIDS, and other previously unheard of viruses.
k. Appearance of Dajjals (liars), each claiming to be a Messenger of Allah,
while Muhammad is the last messenger. There are numerous examples of this,
starting with Musailima, who arose in the time of the Prophet, just before
his death, to more modern liars such as Elija Muhammad, founder of the Black
American racist movement “The Nation of Islam”, and India’s pretender Gulam
Ahmed of Qadian.
l. Nakedness of women while still being dressed.
m. The drinking of wine becoming common, and the Muslims making it lawful
by calling it another name.
n. Shouting in the mosques.
o. The worst and most ignorant will become leaders and they will be oppressors.
p. A man will obey his wife and disobey his mother, and treat his friends
kindly and shun his father.
q. Men will wear silk and gold, and the making of it lawful by the Muslims
even though the Prophet had forbidden it for the men of his ‘Ummah (nation).
r. People will abandon the religion for a small worldly gain, and keeping
to the religion will be like holding two hot coals.
So these are just some of the numerous prophecies of Muhammad, that have clearly
come true, and some have been fulfilled in this age in which we live, all
adding weight to the evidence in favor of his claim.
The Quran also provides accurate knowledge of the past. This is also information
which Muhammad was unable to receive except from Allah. Some examples of this
are:
The Quran mentions about the ark of Noah:“The Ark came to rest upon Mount Judi”
[Noble Quran 11:44]
Recent archeological research has discovered a boat shaped object with exactly
the same dimensions as those of the Ark on Mount Judi. The Bible claims that
the Ark came to rest twenty miles away on the Mountains of Ararat. This is
not possible, since these mountains are a recent geological formation, and
did not exist at the time of Noah. The Quran also refers to the flood as a
localized event, destroying only Noah’s people. The dates and time offered
by the Bible for the flood, and its claim that it was a world wide cataclysm,
has been proven false by all archeological evidence.
The Quran describes the ruler of Egypt being addressed as “King” in the time
of Joseph, whilst Moses addresses the ruler as “Pharaoh”. This is a small
but telling accuracy, for in the time of Joseph the rulers were from the Hykos
Dynasty, and were Semites. They did not refer to themselves as “Pharaohs”.
The term was used by the native Egyptian dynasties that supplanted the Hykos,
in the time of Moses. The Bible again proves inaccurate on this point referring
to both as “Pharaoh”. The Quran also correctly describes aspects of the ancient
Egyptian religion, in particular the worship of Pharaoh as a god.
The Quran refers to the early followers of Jesus as “Nazarenes”. This is historically
accurate. The word “Christian” was actually a nick name used by the Romans
sometime after Jesus - Acts 11:26 “The disciples were called Christians first
at Antioch.”
The Quran makes reference to a city Iram, which Allah destroyed for its evil
doings. Until recently there was no record of this city, and it was believed
to be only a legend. In 1973, in North-Western Syria, the 4300 year old city
of Ebla was excavated. On the cuneiform clay tablets, a record was found of
all the cities with who they used to do business. Among them was Iram.
How and from where did Muhammed gather this information? If, as some claim,
he took it from the Bible, how did he manage to correct the Bible’s mistakes?Believing in the word of Allah the Quran
Allah Almighty accomplished the religion of truth of peace and His choice by blessing the Ummah with the beloved of all Prophets and last Messengers of Allah, Muhammad (SAW), descending upon Him the true and the greatest book of all time, The Holy Quran to let us guide and knowing Islam and learning quran, as narrated: O’ people! No Prophet would be raised after me and no new Ummah (would be formed) after you.
And,
Verily I have left amongst you that which will never lead you astray; the Book of Allah, which if you hold fast you shall never go astray
Read Quran it is the true word of Allah; Muhammad (SAW) is referring about it. Thus the Quran turns out to be an ultimate way of guidance descended upon all mankind till the Day of Judgment.
And also in Surah e Baqara, Allah Himself glorifies the Holy Quran
Al-Baqara [2:2] this is the book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah.
After this it leaves no room for argument to the guided ones or doubt in hearts and souls of true believers that the book that was reviled on prophet Muhammad (SAW) the holy Quran is the source of guidance for whom who are searching for guidance of Allah and his blessings.
Those of us who believe in greatness of Quran and try to understand and follow the true teachings of God are definitely differentiated from the ones who don’t do so, as narrated in this verse:
Al-Baqara [2:78] and there are among them illiterates, who know not the book, but (see therein their own) desires, and they do nothing but conjecture.
What makes Muslims believe that the Quran
Muslims believe that Prophet Muhammad is not the author of the Quran. God is its Author. The following points bear the fact:
First of all, the Quran itself, at a number of places and in different ways, says that it is from God. One of the claims runs thus: “This is indeed a Quran most honourable, a Book well-guarded…a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.” (Quran 56:77-80)
(Here, one ought to know the features of the Quran to understand the claim better. For instance, if the Quran had consisted of a number of books, and each book was made up of a number of chapters, then each of the books had to claim that it was from God in order to render the WHOLE volume as coming from God. But, this is fortunately not so with the Quran. The Quran is just ONE Book made up of 114 chapters. So, if the Quran claims, in any of its chapters, that the Book is from God, then the WHOLE Quran is from God. Yet, the Quran does not make the divine claim only once, but several times in different phrases and in different chapters.)

“The
closer we examine this development the more extraordinary does it appear. The other great
religions won their way slowly, by painful struggle and finally triumphed with the aid of
powerful monarchs converted to the new faith. Christianity had its Constantine,
Buddhism its Asoka, and Zoroastrianism its Cyrus, each lending to his chosen cult the
mighty force of secular authority. Not so Islam. Arising in a desert land sparsely
inhabited by a nomad race previously undistinguished in human annals, Islam sallied forth on its great adventure with the slenderest
human backing and against the heaviest material odds. Yet Islam triumphed with seemingly
miraculous ease, and a couple of generations saw the Fiery Crescent borne victorious from
the Pyrenees to the Himalayas and from the desert of Central Asia to the deserts of
Central Africa.” —A.M.L. Stoddard, quoted in ISLAM - THE RELIGION OF
ALL PROPHETS, Begum Bawani Waqf, Karachi, Pakistan, p. 56.
“I am not a Muslim in the usual
sense, though I hope I am a “Muslim” as “one surrendered to God,” but
I believe that embedded in the Quran and other expressions of the Islamic vision are vast
stores of divine truth from which I and other occidentals have still much to learn, and
‘Islam is certainly a strong contender for the supplying of the basic framework of the one
religion of the future.’” —W. Montgomery Watt, ISLAM AND CHRISTIANITY
TODAY, London, 1983, p. ix.
‘I believe in One God and Mahomet the
Apostle of God,’ is the simple and invariable profession of Islam. The intellectual image
of the Deity has never been degraded by any visible idol; the honours of the prophet have
never transgressed the measure of human virtue, and his living precepts have restrained
the gratitude of his disciples within the bounds of reason and religion.” —Edward
Gibbon and Simon Ocklay, HISTORY OF THE SARACEN EMPIRE, London, 1870, p. 54.“If any religion had the chance of ruling over
England, nay Europe within the next hundred years, it could be Islam.” Sir George Bernard Shaw in ‘The Genuine Islam,’ Vol. 1, No. 8, 1936.
“The universal brotherhood of
Islam, regardless of race, politics, color or country, has been brought home to me most
keenly many times in my life — and this is another feature which drew me towards the
Faith.” Col. Donald S. Rockwell, U.S.A. Poet, Critic and Author.
“There
was once a civilization that was the greatest in the world. It was able
to create a continental super-state that stretched from ocean to ocean,
and from northern climes to tropics and deserts. Within its dominion
lived hundreds of millions of people, of different creeds and ethnic
origins. One of its languages became the universal language of much of
the world, the bridge between the peoples of a hundred lands. Its armies
were made up of people of many nationalities, and its military
protection allowed a degree of peace and prosperity that had never been
known. The reach of this civilization’s commerce extended from Latin
America to China, and everywhere in between. And this civilization was
driven more than anything, by invention. Its architects designed
buildings that defied gravity. Its mathematicians created the algebra
and algorithms that would enable the building of computers, and the
creation of encryption. Its doctors examined the human body, and found
new cures for disease. Its astronomers looked into the heavens, named
the stars, and paved the way for space travel and exploration. Its
writers created thousands of stories. Stories of courage, romance and
magic. Its poets wrote of love, when others before them were too steeped
in fear to think of such things. When other nations were afraid of
ideas, this civilization thrived on them, and kept them alive. When
censors threatened to wipe out knowledge from past civilizations, this
civilization kept the knowledge alive, and passed it on to others. While
modern Western civilization shares many of these traits, the
civilization I’m talking about was the Islamic world from the
year 800 to 1600, which included the Ottoman Empire and the courts of
Baghdad, Damascus and Cairo, and enlightened rulers like Suleiman the
Magnificent. Although we are often unaware of our indebtedness to this
other civilization, its gifts are very much a part of our heritage.
The technology industry would not exist without the contributions of

As for the disbelievers, they know at the moment of death that they
are destined for Hell. The angels beat them up on the faces and rear
ends (8:50 & 47:27), order them to evict their souls (6:93), then
“snatch their souls” (79:1). The Quran teaches that the disbelievers go
through 2 deaths (2:28 & 40:11). They will be put to death - a
state of nothingness during which they see Hell day and night in a
continuous nightmare that lasts until the Day of Judgment (40:46). Hell
is not yet in existence (40:46, 89:23).Important note to learn and Read Quran online
